Seoul Grand Park Zoo: Plan for the Earlier November Entry Cutoff

Information checked: 28 October 2026 (Korea Standard Time).

Planning a late-afternoon trip to Seoul Grand Park’s zoo? The important time is last entry, not just closing. The regular winter schedule starts in November, bringing both times forward by an hour from October.

Use the schedule for your visit date

The park’s official admission page lists zoo hours of 09:00–18:00 for September–October and 09:00–17:00 for November–February. Last admission is one hour before closing.

For a visit through 31 October 2026, the regular last-entry time is therefore 17:00. From 1 November, it is 16:00. The Korea Tourism Organization listing states both seasonal cutoffs explicitly. These are Korea local times.

Our planning advice: aim to arrive well before the cutoff. Being admitted near the deadline leaves little time to see the zoo, and the park says weather or animal conditions may bring an earlier closure.

Pick a priority before you arrive

The park’s visitor guide gives different viewing hours for individual animal areas. For example, its outdoor wolf pavilion and Peacock Village listing is 10:00–16:00. The zoo’s closing time does not promise access to every animal area until that time.

Use the same guide to check viewing restrictions before choosing your main stop. It lists facility work and notes that viewing can change with animal conditions, maintenance and weather. Choose one or two priorities, then allow time to walk between them. This is a planning suggestion, not a guaranteed route or animal-sighting schedule.

Plan the journey to the zoo

Despite its name, Seoul Grand Park is in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi-do. KTO lists the address as 102 Daegongwongwangjang-ro, Gwacheon-si. The park recommends public transport on busy weekends and holidays and identifies Seoul Grand Park Station on Subway Line 4.

Build in the time between reaching the station and entering the zoo. Do not treat your train’s arrival time as your zoo-entry time. Save the place name 서울대공원 and the current visitor guide before leaving home.

Make the final check

Before setting out, recheck the official hours and your chosen animal areas. The park lists its customer help number as +82-2-500-7335. A useful specific question is: ‘What is the last zoo-entry time on my visit date, and is the animal area I want to see open?’
