Seoul Subway Lockers: Plan Your Pickup Before You Pay

A subway locker can make a shopping trip or an afternoon out easier. Before leaving your bag, decide when you will return. A locker inside a station is not the same as a storage room you can reach at any hour.

Set a pickup time first

Seoul’s official storage guide lists T-Locker hours as 05:00–24:00 on weekdays, weekends and holidays. It says you cannot store or retrieve items outside those hours. Check the instructions at your chosen locker too. These are locker-service hours, not a promise that every station entrance or connecting train stays available until midnight.

Our practical suggestion: choose a pickup time with room for delays. If you have dinner or a show planned, include the journey back to the exact station. Do not leave collection until the last minute.

Check the whole fee

The city guide lists these T-Locker rates in Korean won. The base charge covers four hours; extra hours cost more. Check the amount shown for your selected locker before paying.

SizeWeekday: 4 hWeekend: 4 hExtra / h
Small₩2,200₩3,100₩500
Medium₩3,300₩4,600₩800
Large₩4,400₩6,100₩1,000

Do not mix these rates with T-Luggage counter prices or T-Storage monthly rental fees. They are different services. The table does not settle public-holiday pricing; use the current amount shown by the service.

Make sure the bag fits comfortably

The operator’s locker terms (IN KOREAN) warn against forcing an oversized item inside: the door may be damaged or fail to reopen. The terms also prohibit cash, specified high-value items, dangerous goods and food that may spoil. Read the posted restrictions rather than treating a locker as suitable for anything.

Keep your phone and the items you will need before collection with you. Save the station name, locker location and compartment number privately. Take a location photo without exposing a PIN or another person’s belongings. Before walking away, confirm that the door is locked.

New T-Locker units use the Korean-language T-Locker app. Older units may work differently. Follow that unit’s instructions. If you cannot reopen it, use its displayed help contact; the operator’s terms direct users with authentication problems to the call center. Do not force the door.

Would a staffed counter suit you better?

If you prefer to speak with someone before storing your bag, compare a T-Luggage counter instead. Its official English site lists the Seoul Station center on B1, along the way from Exit 1 to Exit 2, with hours of 09:00–22:00. Confirm your chosen center’s details and price; do not apply T-Locker hours or fees to it.
