Ttareungi Day Pass: Why You Still Need to Return the Bike on Time

Information checked: 29 October 2026 (Korea Standard Time).

A Ttareungi day pass gives you a period in which to rent bikes. Each ride also has its own time limit. With a standard one-hour day pass, return the bike within one hour, then rent again if your pass is still valid. Keeping the same bike all afternoon can add extra charges.

Read the ride limit beside the price

The operator’s standard day-pass table lists ₩1,000 for one-hour rides, ₩2,000 for two-hour rides and ₩3,000 for three-hour rides. These are repeated-rental options: each ride needs a proper return within its own limit.

The day-pass period starts with the first rental. The operator’s example is a pass bought at 13:00 and first used at 15:00, which is usable until 15:00 the next day. That overall period is separate from the clock on each ride.

Check the exact pass offered in your app before paying. The official app guide describes separate non-member and foreign-tourist purchase routes. Use the duration and conditions displayed for your selected option.

Plan a return before the ride limit

For example, if you rent at 10:00 on a one-hour pass, plan to complete the return before 11:00. Allow time to reach a rental station, park and check the result. This is a planning example, not a live bike reservation.

The Seoul Facilities Corporation says excess time costs ₩200 per five minutes. Unpaid extra charges must be settled before another rental, according to the operator’s guide. Returning and renting again within the pass period is how the repeated-rental system is designed to work.

Check that the return actually finished

At a designated rental station, park the bike and close its lock. The facilities corporation tells riders to confirm the return message on their phone before leaving. An errand or a café stop is a good moment for a proper return rather than simply keeping the bike beside you.

If the return does not register, stay with the bike and check the app. The operator lists 1599-0120 for assistance. Before your next ride, confirm that the previous rental has ended and your pass still allows another rental.
